"Really easy and tasty! This was the first time id ever made custard and was really suprised at how easy it was! I also used 4 egg yolks and will reduce the amount of sugar as i found it too sweet! Will never buy tinned custard again!!!! "

"I made this last night got to say its the best recipe that i have cooked off here so far! I adapted the recipe a little like janet did i only used 2 tbsp of sugar in the soy sauce and that was plenty. i didnt use 5cm of ginger as im not overly keen so i grated down about a 2cm piece. (didnt like the thought of little chunks of it) and i only used 1 lime as im not keen on too much of that either! It really was tasty and will be having it again very soon! I agree with stuck-on-a-rock it was tastyer than the chinese version. Anyone have any ideas on how to make more sauce though!? "

"These were a bit too wet like Beth said but they were tasty i might try thickening them next time and season a bit more! Seemed like it was missing a flavour so will definately experiment with this one as i love to have freshly made food rather than jars feel like im cheating hehe!! "

"I made this slightly different i just boiled the potatoes with the garlic and mashed it together with the butter and milk to how i like it! I didnt measure anything out and used a clove of garlic rather than the head! Will make again! "
