"Delicious! A lovely combo of crisp pastry and soft, sweet filling lifted by the blueberries. Good enough for dinner parties. I didn't have any almond extract but it didn't seem to suffer for it."

"Made this for an Easter starter - the ingredients stated for 4 would serve 8 as a starter. I replaced the roasted red peppers with finely sliced Peppadew peppers (mild variety) - mine came from Morrisons - they add a nice, sweet chilli tang to the salad which works well with the mild & creamy mozzarella."

"Fab recipe - I made about 100 of these for a Christening last year and they were very well received! Simple, foolproof recipe(although I did start making the roses a fortnight in advance..), and the cakes last for a few days as they're nice & moist. Just be careful when melting white choc as one of my batches seized - nothing a good beating couldn't rectify though!"

"This has become a firm favourite in our house - a really substantial salad to tuck into on a weekday evening. I agree that the caesar dressing has the potential to be overpowering, but have found it's fine if you're not too heavy-handed with it, just enough to very lightly dress the salad leaves. Fab with a bowl of tortilla crisps and cold beer on the side."
