"Lovely pancakes, easy to make, I drizzled with honey afterwards and they were a total dream. Used macadamia nut oil for frying. Another (Polish) version includes using grated apple instead; this makes for a more jagged pancake which is slightly more tart. My mum and I wolfed the blueberry ones down with coffee one breakfast - will def make again. Really US style (as in smallish and thick (and not your large thin crepe type). Fabulous."

"Really buttery, tangy moist cake. Like other people, colleagues and relatives downed this like there was no tomorrow! Didn't bother toasting the seeds. It's totally WOW and I'm making for the third time v shortly. Definitely a firm fave of mine. "

"I made this dish and had it with mashed potato, but I also had some with rice the next day. It's a fabulous recipe - quite simply ingredients but lots of taste and very hearty. The dill and cream really makes it special."

"Olive really does have some great recipes, she must be a wonder cook! I made this for friends at work and for my family and everyone went mental over them. Each one is like a gooey, cakey, chocolatey, velvety melt-in-your mouth brown brick. I had a disaster making them though. The dish I used to melt the chocolate was too small so chocolate was leaking everywhere; then the tin I used wouldn't fit in the oven! But it was well worth persisting. These are luxury brownies that no one with decent taste buds will refuse! "

Beef, chestnut & red wine casserole

    Tested

"I made this with/for my mum and we both loved it! We were really glad there was noone else around to share it with. The horse chestnuts crumble and become slightly toffeeish, and the flour makes the sauce thicken up nicely. I just used red Oxo cubes and didn't add thyme."
