Quince Jelly

"V satisfactory result, though I got a bit lost with how much liquid I should have and how I should acquire. I certainly didn't need to leave it dripping all night, it just shot through my sieve device (a proper straining jelly sock, borrowed off a neighbour!) Which made me think, maybe I had the wrong consistency in the first place? So in the pan, post-sieving, I reduced it from what looked like a litre to about 500-600 ml (it was 600 exactly in the end). So I added the 500ml of sugar and the lemon juice and got it to setting point just fine. So if you think have a lot of liquid when you make this, it's worth reducing (it didn't get any thicker though, until I added the sugar and juice). "

"I've made this recipe a few times nw and love it every time. This lunchtime though, I made it with salmon steaks instead of duck and it was just as delicious. I just added all the spices to the liquid mix and poured it on the frying salmon, which I had going in a tablespoon of olive oil. By the way, I also advocate rice-cookers - my rice-cooker has changed my life! Never a dud batch of rice and I can steam veg on top too."

Ultimate sticky toffee pudding

"Hopefully some useful feedback to BBC site: This particular version of the recipe (ie Angela Nilsen's) doesn't come up when you search on the BBC good food site - only when I searched for STP on Google did I find it. At least that's what happened for me. It looks like such a good recipe it's a shame the site doesn't throw it up itself when searching - people might be missing it! "

"I've made this a few times now and the taste is sensational. Don't miss out on any of the ingredients - they all work wonderfully together. The dish feels special but is easy to make - very easy in fact. I wondered if the haddock would cook properly but it did. Would be lovely with a lemony pudding. "
