"We loved it! I am sure this will become a firm favourite. Now, anyone got a decent recipe for a mixed veg curry that does not use coconut or cashew? We want a dark gravy rather than a white one. "

Hot cross buns

"Made these for Easter using my bread machine. Although the first batch turned out really well, my husband does like them spicy so I increased the mixed spice to 1 tsp and added ½ tsp salt to bring out the flavour further. I had to substitute raisins for currants (these do not appear to be available here in India at the moment) but still had a lot of very happy expatriate Brits! I also batch-baked them in a 23 cm square cake tin, Australian style, rather than making individual buns which everyone also liked. Lovely toasted the next morning and incredibly filling!"

"I have used this recipe many times - it is absolutely delicious. I always serve it with the Mango & Cucumber Salsa that was originally published with it (Good Food - June 2003). Unfortunately, this recipe is not on the web site! Come on, Good Food, put it up here!"

"Is it me? Step 4 - "into each tin". I have looked and looked and cannot see what style/size tin. "

Pomegranate ice

"2 comments: 1) Wear some old clothes for the juicing. Fortunately I did coz my 'cooking' yellow vest now looks like a tie-dye thing from the 70s! 2) I think it would be useful to give an indication of qty of sugar syrup to juice yield. One man's pomegranate could be another man's watermelon! I got 400ml of juice so used an equal qty of sugar syrup. The result is delicious and will be perfect as part of a trio of sorbets on Christmas Day - the colour as well as the flavour."
