"Have to agree with Jan (1st Jan 2012) about the pasta absorbing all of the liquid. If you don't eat the soup the minute it's ready, the pasta swells so much you're left with a thick gloop. Will try making it again with half the quantity, so latecomers can be fed too."

"Very disappointing. I read all of the comments first, then added extra ingredients for more flavour - sundried tomato pesto, garlic, herbs, Parmesan and extra seasoning - yet it was still bland. Won't be doing it again."

Chicken with creamy bacon penne

"Took bits from other comments. Chopped chicken, used chicken stock instead of wine, single cream instead of double (Elmlea, actually) and added garlic and mushrooms. Think what made the biggest difference was adding Parmesan to the sauce (about 3 dessertspoons). Creamy sauce hating husband loved it!"
