"Hi All I made this cake today with windfall apples and added mixed spice, however I had cut apples left, so I mixed with the sugar and added more mixed spice and used as a topping. Took much longer to cook, but worth it."

"I made this recipe to go away on holiday. I used all apricots and I had to add more oats. When it had cooled I melted white chocolate and spread that on, then melted dark chocolate and drizzled that over. I put it in the fridge to set it didn't last long."

"It is obvious that there are mistakes in this recipe. Can somebody from BBC Good Food explain why they are not correcting the ingredients list, rather than letting everybody find out for themselves. I did send an email after making the cake but nobody got back to me."

"I made this as an easter treat. I have to say I am really disappointed with the recipe. Are you sure this recipe is correct? Should it be 375gms of flour & 100gms of ginger. Won't be making it again!!"
