"Well, this deserves one star more than John's lemon curd effort, simply because you need to assemble more things (rather than just open a jar and plop the contents into a bowl). I really would have expected more from a man who judges Masterchef, and doles out criticism if he finds the contestant hasn't stretched themselves. Poor effort, Mr Torode! "

"I'm surprised its even been featured on this site, yes there are recipes which cut corners, but this is pathetic - scoop some lemon curd into a pot and cover with cream? It sounds like something my sister and I used to play when we were little - "lets pretend we're chefs"!! "

"Wow! Had overripe bananas to use up so made this in the oven with 2 bananas and only 50g of sugar. Tasty without being too sweet, my husband was impressed (and he doesn't usually eat puds) and our 19-month old daughter repeatedly exclaimed "nyum" - high praise indeed!"
