"Made my own coffee-vanilla buttercream frosting which went between the layers (just a 2 layer didn't try to split it into 3!) Really nice light cake, made a stronger coffee as suggested by other reviews!"

"Just baked this cake - turned out to be a 3 layer cake as I split the mix into 3 20cm tins! Made my own vanilla buttercream frosting and put a bit between each layer and some on the top then decoated with dessicated coconut and lime zest! Took others advice and used 2 limes in the mix for extra zing!"

"Great recipe, I changed it into a pecan-almond danish by omitting choch pieces (I used chopped pecans) and cocoa powder (ground pecans instead) and it was a hit! Thinking of a coffee and walnut version at some point too!!"
