"This sounds wonderful, we love sausages especially my fella so its always nice to find different ideas to do with them. And to be able to prepare this in advance is always an added bonus. I have lots of sweet potato's at the moment so i will make sweet potato mash to go with this, also i will take on board what welshgirl added to hers and i will do the same.x"

"This is lovely, i also agree there is no need for all the grating. In the end i only grated the apple, and the ginger and cut the potato into rounds about 1-1/2cm thick, as the soup is simmered the ingredients soften anyway and then it is blended so no need to go to all that trouble, plus i was dreading grating the onion, this i sliced thinly. I made this as my fella has this dreaded swine flu so wanted to give him some nice and healthy home comfort food. I will definitely be making this again."
