"Hi all, made this cake for my daughters birthday, it was beautifully rich and moist. How ever as my daughter is diabetic, the recipe did get changed, I only used 100g of each sugars, didn't bother with cocoa pwdr, beat the eggs with electric hand whisk, till nice and frothy, double in size, whisked in cremefraiche/buttermilk which ever you have. I covered this before it went in oven as you would a christmas cake, oven door did not get opened, as said beautiful result, looked and tasted lovely, even if I say so myself!"

"lovely recipe, children love it, made it loads really easy to make, try adding ground and flaked almonds to the topping for a different flavour, yummy!"
