"Really tasty, was worried that it would be too fatty but most of the fat had drained away with the slow-cooking. Will definitely make again, and the plum sauce was delish, made extra after reading above comments and will use the left over with cheese on toast..."

"Best carrot cake recipe ever! Had to tweek the flour ingredients as I'm wheat/gluten intolerant (severely), so used an extra spoonful of baking powder and 230g Doves Farm plain white flour. It's light, moist and utterly delicious :) "

"This was delicious and 1 recipe that didn't need any tweaking, the spices balanced perfectly to give a hot but not overpowering flavour and the colour made it a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds... so easy that it would be one to do for friends too :) For anyone who does find it a little hot I would recommend a little yogurt on the side instead of messing about with the recipe. "
