"Franchesca and Paula made the sorbet using half the amounts. We don't have an ice cream machine but the amount of sugar in the recipe meant that it stayed soft for a long time and we were able to mash it up with a fork. It is the first time we have made ice cream at James Court."

"Paula and Franchesca cooked the meal in a pan on the hob as we didn't have a shallow oven proof caserole dish. This worked quite well although it was a bit brown on the bottom of the pan. We also used ordinary basmati rice as there is a big price difference. It was easy to cook and delicious but next time Franchesca will put more curry paste in for a more spicy taste."

"Vicky made this and the steamed chocolate pudding. We found making fresh breadcrumbs a bit difficult but the bread quickly mixed in with the other ingredients and the balls stayed together quite well. We made a tomato sauce with an onion softened in olive oil and a tin of tomatoes. "

"Vicky made this pudding and the italian tuna balls with spaghetti. We managed to find a plastic bowl with a lid which was just the right size to cook the pudding. We found it easy to make and to eat. We would make it agian."
