"Made this cake twice now and love it more and more! So simple to make. I use normal milk instead of buttermilk and its fab. I cant see/taste any difference! Tip for the ganache - I put it in the fridge for approx 40 mins before spreading on the cake. This thickens it up and makes it more gooey, so easier to spread. stops it running off the sponge like other people have complained about in their reviews. Then i put cake back in fridge so it turns more fudgey :-) I also split the mixture into 2 tins to save me cutting later on. I just take it out the oven when it looks done (usually after approx 50 mins) I recommend this cake to EVERYONE!!!"

"This is THE best cake! It really does taste like a luxury shop-bought cake. Im not a very good cook, and I managed to make this so it really is simple! I never had any plain flour so just used double amount Self Raising and left out the bicarbonate of soda. It still turned out perfect. If your a chocoholic, you definitley should try this!"
