Tamarind chickpeas

"My tesco sells Tamarind in blocks. Try the world foods section as well as the ingredients section. I think Nigella and black onion seeds are the same thing. On the nutritional content question, normally anything which says "to serve" after it is not included."

Marrow & ginger jam

"Expensive to make because of the jam sugar and made a gloopy, nasty flavoured mess. In fact it tastes so bad, I will be throwing it out. I make a lot of jams and chutneys and this is by far the worst I'd made."

"I liked it but felt it could do with some nutmeg in the ricotta mixture. My husband absolutely hated it."

"Marola, I think it was poor use of grammar, maybe it should have been "To butterfly the prawns simply slit the prawns lengthways and remove the vein but don't go all the way through." It's a good recipe, easy and tasty. Can vary the herbs etc."

"It was a bit disappointing for me. I also think puy and other green lentils take nearer 40 minutes to cook without tasting excessively nutty. There's a Nigella recipe with lentils, sausages and red wine which is far tastier than this. Not sure I'd make it again."
