One-pot chicken with braised vegetables

"Made this instead of the usual Sunday roast. Didn't have enough potatoes or any shallots so I used an onion and a leek, plus carrots and a few celery sticks. It was so easy to make and tasted wonderful - even my two, rather conservative children, ate all of it up. Will definitely make it again."

"This is a very easy stew to make and tastes great. However, I made it for 4 'normal' sized adults. I increased the veg (4 carrots and 3 leeks) but fund that, even with this increase, there really wasn't enough for each of us to have a decent sized portion. Served it with crusty bread and new potatoes, which helped to pad it out but really would have wanted more stew. I think there needs to be a 50% increase in the meat and veg. The other thing I found was that putting the beans in 30 mins before the end wasn't quite long enough - I'd recommend 45 mins, unless you like your beans a bit 'crunchy'. I would definitely make this again, but next time I'd make the above changes."

"Very easy to make and used 3 sausages per person, which was perhaps a suasage too many! Good quality sausages is definitely the way to go and 2 tbsps of mustard was fine by us. My kids, who are quite conservative with their taste, liked it but questioned the use of so many beans... may have to rethink that side things, but otherwise a tasty, wholesome meal."
