"06/07/08 Made this last night for a starter, just hubby and I, halved the recipe, blooming lovely!! toasted ciabatta bread as a base, will definitely do this one again, very easy."

"didn't work for me, it uses too much icing sugar, so 1/2 and eggwhite would do, but then what do you do with the other 1/2? the mixture spread out too much while cooking so I cooked it longer, for another 1/2 minute, big mistake!! won't be making it again. "

"Made these on a wet afternoon, a request from my husband who is welsh," make me some welsh cakes like my mum use to do, please"how could I refuse, bit worrying being compared with his mum's cakes.... but no probs. PERFECT!!!! made 15, and he ate 9!!!! So scrummy he couldn't stop eating them. "

"Have made this with different white and smoked fish, try coley for a change, it's a cheaper fish and sometimes over looked, it's not as white as haddock or cod but in a fish pie it doesn't matter, done it with and without eggs and hubby and I prefer it with eggs.grate some nutmeg in with the mash, yes I agree, leave out the cheese. "

"So easy and quick, I've made these several times, change the filling to sultanas and chopped dried apricots and a hand full of nuts if you haven't got dates or prunes."
