    "Made these for father's day and oh my word they are super yum. Really should have read the other comments though as there was a lot of the icing left over, so will have to make up another batch to use it all up..at least butter icing keeps for a few days in the fridge. Didn't bother toasting the poppy seeds and I don't think it makes a difference...although please correct me if I am mistaken. Accidentally added the quantity of butter for the icing to the cake....that's what happens when you work straight from the website and forget to scroll back up the page! all it meant was leaving them in the oven a tad longer and of course a few more calories, but nothing was ruined. They look pretty impressive and are certainly a crowd pleaser!"

    "oh my goodness...this cake is deee-lush-us! yes it takes a little prep and you may not have all the ingredients in the store cupboard, but it is so worth it. We left out the nuts. This cake went down a storm with our guests, will definitely be making this again and again."

    "Simply fabulous - as the title states it really is fast to make...you think that it won't start to thicken in the microwave but before you know it there is a light sponge before your eyes...brilliant. I placed the mixture into a glass mixing bowl and heated it for a tad longer than the recipe states. Probably would use a little less lemon curd, but this really is up to personal taste. Certainly a recipe which means I won't be buying the ones in the shops anymore! "

    "this was both simple and delicious.....my husband felt that the topping was the answer to there never being enough dumplings! We slightly increased the dumpling cooking time, used a mature cheese for the topping and added some mixed herbs to the dough. Great recipe, thanks. "
