"I agree with all the other comments - the bet cottage pie ever!! I made my mash with potato, sweet potato, carrot and parsnip and topped with cheese - was absolutely sublime!"

"This is a lovely recipe and makes plenty. I froze half for later. Doesn't necessarily have to be a pie mix, this can also be topped with potatoes or served with mash. The recipe was an all round winner - I didn't use porcini mushrooms (I don't like them) so it didn't take anywhere near 4 hours to make. I will be making again!"

"Just finished eating mine! By far the best Cottage Pie ever!!! I took Satu's advice and addes Soy and Sweet Chilli Sauce which was lovely!! I also only had 1kg of meat so I added extra veg (with parsnips and turnip) - Lovely!"

"An outstanding recipe!!! I made this for my husband who wolfed it down. He also said that he would happily pay for the same meal in a restaurant!!! I served mine with a potato, sweet potato, carrot and parsnip mash. Yum!"

"Fabulous recipe - I've mad it lots of times. The recipe calls for Soft Brown Sugar but doesn't specify light or dark so I bought dark. When you make the cream cheese, make sure you follow the instructions and mix in the butter with the icing sugar, if you do it any other way you'r left with tiny butter lumps that you can't get rid of (don't know why)."
