"Absolutely delicious and so light. Similar in method to the continental Krummeltorte that I have made for many years with apples but this recipe is much more delicate in texture and went down a treat. Made it as a dessert for a dinner with friends and was lovely with real vanilla ice cream. Made it ahead of time and kept in a tin then just gently reheated. Very quick and super easy to make so will be making many more times I am sure - and will try with other fruits too. 5 stars Barney and thank you!"

"I have made this receipe twice and it is very tasty indeed. Hubby generally scowls at "healthy" options but he is the biggest fan of these. Pan fried them using hot sesame oil brushed over the pan rather than veg. oil. Served with brown rice and a deluxe veggie stir fry from a posh shop. Silence reigned at the table when 2 fussy teenagers tucked in. Would serve to friends as a super supper dish."

"I haven't (yet) made this mix as it is virtually identical to a basic mince mix I have used happily for many years. Just wanted to say I often put smoked bacon in my mix for added flavour and to ring the changes."
