"This is FANTASTIC so easy to make although I would say that an actual tin size would be very helpful. Cake is lovely even without the sauce but what a sauce it's divine - got the thumbs up from all at dinner. I made double the sauce, would go beautifully with bannanas and icecream. Def one to make again!!!"

Butternut squash & sage risotto

"this is delicious!!!! I also fry a bit of finely cut bacon and some leek in the butter think the leek gives a nicer flavour than onion and then add the rice to soften slightly and use chicken stock. Its also nice to roast some red onion with the squash. Mushrooms are good as well but they do turn it all brown! A really good comforting dish just right for this time of year. I don't bother mashing half the squash I roast all of it and then stir in at the last minute when about to serve. "

"Me again - good food you still haven't corrected the method in this recipe - I do find you have to watch that the internet versions are not always as printed in the mags. Give it a go though & Good Food please change the method!!!!!"

"Just noticed that in this version of the recipe you don't state to heat the yog and milk together until hot - which starts the rising action off straight away - it is quite vital to do - look up the fluffy scones it all came from the same recipe in the aug edition"

"Forgot to say when rating this recipe that it was a pain that butter measurement was given in tbspn - it was a real pain - put the butter in a tbspn then worked out weight so know for next time."
