"This had a lovely flavour but I must have used the wrong sort of pork (I bought diced pork from the supermarket) because it was tough as old boots and probably needed to cook for a good hour longer for it to become tender. Next time I'd use chicken I think."

"What a fabulous dish, just bursting with fresh flavours. I made my own pesto using the recipe found on here - delish! I'm looking forward to having the leftovers for lunch at work this week."

Chicken & white bean stew

"A lovely, simple, and easy to make recipe. After looking at the ingredients I knew that there wouldn't be enough flavour in the dish for my liking. I thought about adding some chorizo for extra spice and depth but am conscious of unecessary calories so instead I added about a teaspoon of smoked paprika which gave the dish some spice and depth. I also used leeks instead of celery. I personally would recommend cooking for less than the stated 40 minutes as my carrots were too soft for my liking, but other than that it's a lovely, comforting and filling dish. Oh, and I added 1 can of butter beans and 1 can of haricot beans just for a bit of variety amongst the white beans!"

"I used this recipe as a base and added some of my own ingredients to turn this into a Thai noodle salad. I added some rice vermicelli noodles, a thinly sliced red pepper, a chopped chicory, a tsp of palm sugar to balance out the fish sauce and lime juice, extra lemon grass and ginger as I adore those flavours, and I left my chillis unseeded as I like things spicy. I loved it, and have brought in some leftovers for my lunch today. Can't wait to tuck in again!"

"I've never had much success with cakes for some reason but this one turned out superb! I added some coffee to the filling as it was fairly flavourless without it, and I added extra coffee to the cake mixture too. I also added a lot more walnut halves than the recipe called for. Superb! It's as good (no, better) as cake you would pay for in a top notch cafe, in fact my husband's friend told me today that he would happily pay £5 for a slice. Maybe I'll go into business! ;o)"
