"Only had plain sausages so I smeared the inside of the bacon with a little wholegrain mustard, dried sage and a drizzle of honey before wrapping them round the sausages - delicious! Didn't brown them them either - just put oil in an overnproof dish and placed in the oven to get hot - the sausages then sizzle nicely when you put them in and they start browning from the off. Also added some onion wedges, a few chunks of carrot (Not to big or they won't cook through in time) & a good pinch of mixed herbs. Served with mustard mash, steamed broccoli and gravy - lovely meal."
