"yummy. it's a lot of work though. the recipe should also warn you that you need LOTS of kitchen towels to soak up all the oil from the aubergines once you fried them - at least that's what I did to try and control the calories"

"I found it a bit too liquidy - I would only use about 3/4 of the cream and half the milk if doing it again. And remember to slice the potatoes thinly - I didn't so I had to let it cook for about an extra half hour!"

"I used M&S venison sausages which I thought were divine and also made it seem more classy. Ignored the olives, used about 400g of mushrooms, added an onion and some red wine. One of the nicest dishes I've made, everybody wanted seconds even my dieting sister!"
