  • My last supper would be... about 4 days long, so I could pack in all the food I wanted to eat!
  • My fool proof recipe is... my grandmother's raisin bread.
  • My favourite utensil is... my microplane grater. I love it so.

    Cherry & cinnamon conserve

    Tested

"This is so delicious! It's cooling in my kitchen as I write. This was the first time I've made jam and it wasn't as difficult as I'd imagined. I ended up boiling it for about 15 mins after adding the sugar because I wasn't sure of when it had reached setting point; I was expecting it to wrinkle as soon as I put it on the saucer, but it needed to sit for about 30 seconds first. Soy steamed chicken with oriental rice

    Tested

"I loved the idea of this, but I liked it less and less as I ate it - I found it was just so bland and tasteless. I'll make it again, but I'll definitely be adding garlic, more ginger, chilli, and possibly some five spice too. "

    Spicy mince & lettuce cups

    Tested

"I made this for dinner tonight, and it was absolutely delicious! I agree that it was really easy - the only mildly faffy part was preparing everything. I couldn't get lime leaves, so I used curry leaves as the Glossary on here suggested, and I didn't bother with the mint, but I didn't feel like anything was missing at all. I can't wait to have people round, so I can make this and show off!"

Blueberry soured cream cake with cheesecake frosting

    Tested

"This has become my new favourite cake - it was amazing! I couldn't get blueberries, so used raspberries as suggested, and it was so good I don't know if I'll bother with blueberries next time! It was even nicer the day after making, as it got even more moist. The topping was lovely but the cake was so delicious without it, I think I'd only include it again for a special occasion."
