"This certainly hits the spot! I added a big squirt of tomato puree, 1 tablespoon each of worcester sauce & soy sauce, & cooked on low on the stovetop for 2 hours. I then scored a sheet of ready made puff pastry into 6, & baked this on a baking sheet in the oven. I spooned the meat with it's fabulous gravy onto plates & popped the pastry on top! Served with potatoes & green beans, it was the best!"

"Really good punchy soup. I was given a load of tomatoes, so made up a batch. I didn't have the celery, so added a little celery salt. We all thought it was very tasty & I will definitely make it again!"

"Great recipe! Making it again as I didn't get a look in the first time round! I left out the rum & baked on a rack in the oven for 40 minutes. Having with chicken fried rice tonight. Really yummy!"

"A great recipe! I only had half a red pepper, & added a courgette & some chillies to give it a kick. First impressions straight from the hot pan are really fab! "

"I have made this twice now - best with 1 tin tomatoes, 1 carton passata, 1/4 pt veg stock & 2 tbsp tomato puree. Serves 4 - 6. Both lovers of Heinz & fresh soup really rated it! Delighted I can now make proper 'comfort tomato soup'!"
