"Another highly successful recipe and so very easy! It is scenting my kitchen out with delicious aromas even as I type this comment. I kept strictly to the recipe as I wanted to know how long it would take to make - not long, so a winner for anyone who wants to produce a savoury dish quickly. I doubled the quantities so that I could feed a family and it has worked a treat."

Ultimate New York Cheesecake

"Fabulous! A really successful recipe and the baked cheesecake recipe I'll use from now on. The last time I tried a baked cheesecake, I ended up with a pint of liquid fat all over the base of the oven as it separated out from the cream chese, so imagine my delight at the success of this one! The blueberry/lime topping is the snitz!"

Vanilla ice cream

"I've recently made this ice cream and, although it was enjoyed, my family found it a bit "thin" tasting. That's because it is low fat. So the moral seems to be that if you want low fat you sacrifice the unctuousness of the ice cream. I found the use of creme fraiche instead of ordinary cream very interesting and will certainly use this again, but perhaps in the full fat version as I'm not overly worried about calories."

Mild chilli & bean pasta bake

"I made this for dinner last night and it's excellent. I didn't have any celery so I substituted a fennel globe and threw in a moderate handful of fennel seeds as well. I put in less chilli as I wasn't sure how it would harmonise with the fennel and I also didn't have any red kidney beans in the cupboard, so used Borlotti beans instead. Since I used prime, lean minced beef that I get from a local producer, I found I didn't need to drain excess fat as there wasn't any and I really wanted to retain all the flavour of the beef juices. I used mature cheddar instead of Red Leicester which I didn't have! It was delicious! I love the topping and thought it really complemented the dish. We'll certainly be eating this again and next time I'll organise myself to have all the ingredients in the ingredients list, and make the dish as described :-)"
