"ok the reason it was dry was because I did a smaller one as a tester and let it cook the same time as the large one -- the large one was delicious and we chowed on it, some bread, the pear compote done with figs, fresh figs, cheese & wine. Great brunch! Thanks!"

"Lovely recipe -- the salmon is simple and easy to cook and so are the sweet and sour onions. Impressive and tasty meal in minutes. I serve with a salad of romaine hearts with lemon and olive oil dressing. O and I dont use the mint."

"I served this with the butterflied leg of lamb with paprika that was cooked on the grill. Star anise is easy to get from places like chefshop.com. Very simple to make."

"very simple to prepare -- served it with Good Foods Fig Chutney (just search fig chutney on this site), Grape Tomtoes with Balsamic & olive oil & did a simple shortcake of orange ginger scones with peaches/nectarines & orange marscapone cream. They still talk about that meal!"
