    "This is not "easy" (unless you are a pretty good pastry chef), its far too fiddly. I agree with Mattmes, the filling is bland, the honey and raisins make it too sweet, and combined with the orange juice in the pastry you can't taste the pork at all. I would suggest reduce the honey by 50%, add a chilli, some basil, and some garlic to give it some kick. As it was, my kids thought it was an experimental mince pie, and should be served as a dessert with cream on it. Sorry, but it was given a big thumbs down in my house."

    "What a disaster, this is the worst recipe ever. I make a "normal" toad in the hole at least once a month, but thought I'd have a go at this "ultimate" version. I followed the recipe to the letter, wondering if the lesser amount of flour had anything to do with the addition of the bacon. In the end the bacon had turned to charcoal, encasing burnt sausages that were stuck in something that looked like drying cement. The gravy was awful too. All in all, I'd give it zero stars. Sorry bbc."

    Spinach, broad bean & feta salad

    "Fabulous food, though I added garlic. This is the sort of dish you can make a big bowl of, and just graze on all day. I will definately do this again, maybe adding leftover meat or chicken, cherry tomatoes, peppers.... Absolutely delicious"

    "I agree with Rob, there needs to be a LOT of seasoning and some herbs. I couldn't be doing with squishing the meat out of sausages, so I used good quality sausagemeat instead; they were a bit bland."

    "Very easy to make, I substituted the spinach for chard, and served it with garlic bread. Perfect for an autumn evening. Delicious"
