"I made this in a square tin and cut into 16 pieces. it worked a treat and the size of the tin meant that the pieces were fairly evenly cooked - even the edge pieces were moist and chewy, and extremely chocolatey. "

"This has become a regular favourite for my family. To make it a bit more healthy I steam some green beans cut into thirds and add just before putting in the oven. It works like a dream and is extremely tasty. Oh yes, I use a piece of smoked bacon from my butcher chopped up fairly small, which adds even more taste."

"This recipe worked a dream - the texture was a lovely cross between a biscuit and cake. The addition of golden syrup kept it moist. I made it in a square tin and cut it into 16 pieces which were wolfed down within 24 hours by greedy teens!"

"I added some green beans once and peas the next time, both worked well. The first time we had it as an accompaniment to chops, but everybody (including my 15 year old meataholic son!) agreed that it was good enough to be a meal in itself."
