"As it is, this recipe failed to impress me. It was bland, and I would rather go for another recipe entirely if this one needs so much adaptation to work."

"The pistachios were nice on their own, as are juicy oranges of course, but the texture and flavour combo just did not work well together. "

"Very nice, needs constant attention as most risottos, but worth it. Easily doubled, without need to double butter and oil."

Chicken with braised celery & cider

    Tested

"I was very disappointed with this recipe. I followed it to the letter using a good chicken. Once I had taken the chicken out at the end of total cooking time, I found the veg to be swimming in chicken fat, so had to strain the veg out in order to serve. The dinner was going cold as I then attempted to strain off fat from remaining juice to find some gravy beneath. Gave up and decided it to be a whole load of effort for not much result. Would cook the veg and chicken seperately personally. "

"A touch more sugar with the rhubarb, as agree it is a bit tart, and I don't have a particularly sweet tooth. However, I found it quick and satisfying to make and eat. I bought rhubarb that was completely deep pink (like that of radish), with no green, and it stayed pink when cooked. I think the pink colour may be a seasonal thing, bought end of feb. "
