"I love ham and pea soup and this is a tasty and simple receipe. We have boiled gammon fairly often and I use the water that remains after removing the gammon (First getting rid of any fat floating on the top). This gives it a really great ham taste. I also find that dried peas, soaked overnight increase the pea flavour but takes longer to cook."
