"Fantastic! Very easy to throw together and tastes absolutely brilliant. My kids loved this and have requested it be cooked again. Didn't have kafir lime leaves so used juice of 1 lime and used lemongrass paste as couldn't get a stalk of fresh lemongrass. Threw in sweet potato and Pak Choi for added interest. Recommend to anyone who thinks they can't cook and needs to impress!!"

Simmer-&-stir Christmas cake
175 comments
"Never having made a christmas cake in my life before, I decided to try this recipe last year. Oh, the compliments I received!! Thoroughly enjoyed making it - it was lovely and simple to do, so much so that I've just logged on to seek out the recipe again for this year. I'd certainly recommend it for any novice cooks like myself - it is guaranteed to impress friends and family alike!!!!"

"Tried this recipe last night - very easy to do and I was delighted that for once, my results looked exactly like your picture! I too find that with all chutney's cooking time is a little longer than stated in the recipe and this one was no exception. The smell of vinegar was overwhelming during the cooking process, but again this seems to be fairly common when making chutney's (think the previous comment of it 'smelling like sick' is one to be ignored!). Recommend anyone new to chutney making try this out - satisfyingly easy and can't wait to taste it in 2-3 weeks time."

Roast duck legs with red wine sauce

"Fantastic. Perfect for guests. My only comment would be that I think a total cooking time of an hour would be sufficient so next time I'd add the liquour in at 45 minutes rather than cooking the duck for an hour and then adding."

"Made this for kids who came along with parents for a dinner party - the adults loved it!! It didn't really look much but tasted great. Would make again as a backup pudding."
