"Nice and quick, used home grown honey instead of sugar. Everyone liked it. I did use more soy sauce and a wee bit of tabasco."

"Have just made these they are fantastic! I used all white flour and sultanas instead of apricots as that's what I had in my cupboard. I am always grateful for recipes to use up bananas that are a bit too ripe and this is great for that. I will definitely make this again."

"Nice recipe for an old favourite. Just thinking about melissa's comment, I always have a bit of a problem with the potato cake type recipes. They always seem to not crisp up and they fall apart if I add too much butter to stop them sticking. I think it's because I don't have a non-stick frying pan. "

"Am making this right now! So far so good.... I had to substitute sweet potato instead of parsnip as thats what I had in the fridge. Also I only had one tablespoon of wholegrain so made up the rest with dijon. Like others here, I made more sauce "
