"Served this with Sunday lunch with the potatoes all on the top and went down well with everyone. My sauce made with skimmed milk and went well. Served 8 easily as side dish and I made ahead to save time. Will try with bacon as suggested by another user."

"Fed 9 from this receipe with seconds. Loved by all and went well with chicken and smoked pork loin equally well. Microwaved mine for 20 minutes and then baked for an hour to cut down on the cooking time."

"Mine looked nothing like the picture. Was more of a pudding I thought than a cake and also thought the rhubarb was not suited to the flavour of the sponge. Saying that, the sponge was lovely and would probably make that again on its own. Mine took about 15 mins longer to cook than the receipe said but was easy to make."
