Fragrant mango & apple chutney

"I have made this twice, using cider vinegar and chilli flakes (1 tsp) rather than fresh chillis. I'm sure we are supposed to keep, but we opened the first after 2 days and the last after 2 months. Absolutely superb. I will not be buying mango chutney again. Delicious with cheese and cold meats etc. My son eats with everything! "

Chicken, leek & parsley pie

"I made a few changes - I topped with mashed potato rather than pastry and left out the lemon zest and creme fraiche. Poaching has to be the best (and easiest) way to cook succulent , juicy, tasty chicken. After cooking the chicken, I stripped from the bones and added the bones back to the stock and cooked this for a bit longer and reduced it, to give the stock more concentrated flavour. Quite a long process, but it made two delicious pies, one for the freezer, and was totally worth it. "

"Made this with 2 onions as I had no leeks, otherwise kept to the recipe and it was GOOD. Quick, easy and very tasty. Will certainly make again. "

"As many have suggested, I baked as one cake and did not make the topping. Very nice , light and tasty. More banana than chocolate flavour and not too sweet which is how I like cake. "
