"I always halve recipes where I can till I've tried them myself. Glad I did this time. Everyone else seems to have added more chilli but even the stated amount was too hot for me and would probably be for small kiddies. Also, how big is a chilli? they vary so much. I'll give it another go with just a 4cm piece to 800g toms"

"Can this recipe be frozen after step 5? I have just made meringues and have 4 egg yolks left over. With friends coming next week I thought creme brulees would be a good option. Can anybody help?"

Herby lamb cobbler

"Made this yesterday for the family and twin grandsons of 16 months. Because of this I only used a splash of wine and made up for it with more stock. Also reduced the seasoning a little. The bacon is quite salty so it wasn't missed."

"Encouraged by all the positive feedback I made this recipe for a recent dinner party and WOW. Light, velvety texture and not too sweet. Very rich though so I suggest serving your guests with a thin slice to start with. Like others I wanted a thicker base so used 200g digestives, 100g butter but kept to 1 tablespoon sugar and this worked v.well. I served it with fresh rasps and a sharp raspberry coulis- very attractive on the plate and complimented the cheescake. I had a wedge left over so popped it in the freezer- yet to see if it works. Bon appetite!"
