Yummy scrummy carrot cake
299 comments
"A very well named cake - it really is delicious! Next time I'll keep a closer eye on it while it's cooking, though, as the top started to burn before the cake was fully cooked. I'm not sure about the icing, either - I think carrot cake really needs cream cheese frosting on the top - I'll try that next time (and there will definitely be a next time!)."

BBQ roast chicken & chunky chips
7 comments
"Rubbing the marinade into the chicken is a messy business, but well worth it as the end result is really tasty. It was a little sweet for my taste so I might use less sugar next time, but apart from that this was very good indeed. I also served with coleslaw and salad, and will definitely be having this again."

"I had this as a main course on a meat-free day and was a bit disappointed - it's pleasant enough, but nothing special. It would work better as an accompaniment, I think."

Spinach & three cheese cannelloni
19 comments
"Really tasty, and easier than I expected from the 'moderately easy' tag (although that might be because I made it as a lasagne rather than stuffing cannelloni tubes - much less messy!). I left out the nutmeg as I didn't realise I didn't have any until I'd started cooking: I didn't notice anything missing but I'll have to try it again, with nutmeg, to double-check (that's my excuse, anyway!)."

"I expected this to be a bit dry without any sauce, but the tomatoes meant it was actually not too bad. A generous splosh of evoo made it even better, although lessened the 'very healthy' credentials a bit! I left out the garlic as I had to go out in the evening, but the roast veggies had enough flavour that it was fine without. (Note to self: well worth remembering to use up the summer vegetable glut later in the year!)"
