No-cook chocolate tart

"Oups, I did the same thing with the Vanilla Essence....... I followed the recipe by adding it to the chocolate and guess what......hard and lumpy! I added the cream and then used my electric mixer to bring it back. (Too expensive to waste all that chocolate) I used Digestive biscuits instead of 'all butter' ones and that worked wonderfully. The smiles on the faces of my guests after taking their first bite.........well, it goes without saying that I'll be making it on a regular basis....yummy!"

"This was surprisingly easy and absolutely fabulous. I made it in one large dish instead of the ramekins, used Cheddar instead of Red Leicester and used Back Bacon instead of streaky (basically what was in the fridge). The breadcrumbs drizzled with oil topped off this 'must do again' dish. Passing this recipe on for sure!"

"I have to agree with most of the comments from above. I don't think that it matters when the zest is added when making the cake but it would have been good to have the right instructions. Making the syrup took longer to sort out, but I eventually solved the problem by adding more sugar. I also found that the size of the baking tin quoted was too small....I'll use a slightly bigger one next time. It's an unusual cake.......but enjoyable!"

"Made this and followed the recipe exactly.....mine turned out the same as Davids.....sunk in the midde and wasn't cooked properly....binned it! Not a recipe that I'd try again."

"I also didn't have a blender but improvised and it was absolutely fabulous! My husband wouldn't leave it alone (hot or cold) and is now insisting that I make it on a regular basis. My advice to anyone looking at this recipe is ....just do it...it's so easy and your 'street-cred' will soar! Yummy!!!!!!"
