"I would seriously query the amount of butter listed in this recipe! I was brought up to use half the amount of fat to flour but went with the amount listed in the recipe, until I realised I only had 100g of butter. Even that was way too much! I ended up bulking it out with extra flour and, like the reviewer above, ended up with way too much crumble mix (and I love crumble mix!) The rhubarb was lovely, though I only used 100g of sugar as it would have been *way* too sweet otherwise. If I were to make this again, I'd probably use half the amount of sugar listed in the recipe. As the reviewer said above, listing the oven temp. would have been useful as well. So, to sum up, a useful guide but half the amount of butter in the crumble mix and half the amount of sugar for the rhubarb unless you have a really sweet tooth!"

"I've been meaning to write a review of this for a while but I'm only just getting round to it. I really enjoy this recipe, I find the pearl barley holds together much better than risotto rice, which can end up going a bit mushy. The cream cheese makes it lovely and comforting. Nom nom nom. "

"Love these burgers, they're so easy to make and much nicer than the shop bought falafel. Even my meat eating boyfriend likes them, so they must be good. We tried BBQ-ing them at the weekend but it didn't go too well so I think I'll stick with the frying. "

"I liked this cake but it was quite heavy, I think perhaps I hadn't whisked the egg whites for long enough or should have folded them in last as somebody suggested. Definitely add some lemon juice to give it a bit more of a lemony flavour. "

"I made this at the weekend and I'm very impressed. I also used feta as one of the other reviewers suggested as I don't like goats cheese and the topping was really yummy. I think I should have cooked the squash initially for slightly longer than the recipe states as it was a bit hard in the middle. "
