Easy hot cross buns

"I'm only giving this 2 stars because following the recipe as stated gave a very heavy bun even though the taste was quite good. I'd taken the recipe direct from the magazine so didn't have the benefit of all the comments here. One thing that did work though was the cross - you just need to add a bit more water to the flour than the 2 tbsp suggested. Will try again but will knead the dough next time and make smaller buns."

Kerala prawn curry

"Went down very well. Lot's of flavour and not overly spicy though I guess that's a matter of opinion and how hot the chilli's are that you use. Didn't have fenugreek seeds so made do with the ground version instead. Will definitely make again."

"I roughly quartered this recipe to use up a couple of parsnips that were going limp in the fridge. Didn't have mustard seeds and used ground coriander instead of coriander seeds and vine toms instead of plum but end result was still great. The squeeze of lemon juice at the end made the dish!"

"This worked well. Easy to do and very tasty with the recipe as is. Only thing I changed was using a dollop of creme fraiche instead of ricotta as I lacked the latter."
