"I am absolutely livid!! I would love to sue you idiots for wasting my time and money on this lousy and untested recipe!! I took photos of this wretched cake. The icing just dribbles out everywhere!! Where can I send them so all can see how you wasted our time?"

"I agree with most of the negative comments about this recipe. I followed the recipe to the letter. The top of the cake almost explodes making it impossible to ice. The icing doesnt set more thickly than ketchup. I added another 150g chocolate and 100g icing sugar and put the icing in the fridge. It is still syrupy. I don't believe the photo shows this actual recipe. Very disappointed with the result especially since the ingredients were expensive. Yes, the house smells of chocolate, very appetising, but this cake is rubbish!! Several BBC recipes fall very short of expectations. Eg Irish soda bread doesnt rise unless you turn the oven up to gas 8 for the first half of the bake. Scones? They just don't rise either!! With all theses celebrity chefs, I bet not one of them can cook even a decent fry-up. I shall buy a good old fashioned 'good housekeeping' recipe book. The BBC should stick to what they know!! Game shows!!"
