"I am going to make this this weekend and was just wondering what do people serve it with? Salad? Bread? Salad just doesn't seem right for a winter dinner party! Many thanks!"

"Tasty pie and very generous portions! I used leek instead of celery and some left over gammon and it worked well. I think left over roast chicken may add a bit more flavour to the pie but MrS thought it was good just as it was! One to easily adapt with whatever is in the fridge!"

"I thought this was delicious and made a change from the usual apple crumble. It was easy and went down very well - even 2 days later as it must serve 6 hungry people (I got 8 good size portions out of it!). I too made it with raspberries and thought they worked really well with the bakewell topping."

"Rhubarb??! I made this as a big pie and it was yummy. Added a splash of wine before the stock and some garlic and mushrooms with the other veg. Oh and I swapped the cream cheese for half fat creme fraiche too. Lovely balance of herbs, creaminess and mustard and we liked the filo topping. All plates (6!) were clean. Served with jersey royals and steamed greens, I'll definitely make this again.....as will my friends!"

"I love red cabbage, always order it when I go out if it is on the menu or but it in the premade/reheat packs. This was my first attempt at making it myself. I cannot believe how easy it was and how tasty it is! (and an excellent excuse the get the port out early on in the winter :) ) We had it with a steak pie.....I think it will go really well with some pork tomorrow night......"
