"I made this dish yesterday & was surprisingly disappointed. The combintation of ingredients/flavours I use frequently, but it lacks depth of flavour & punch. Maybe I didn't brown the meat adequately at the beginning, & another time I would brown the meat in batches first, put aside, then start the onions etc. I've frozen it, but definately won't be serving it to guests. "

"I love this recipe, very quick & easy to make. If it seems bland, try adding a pinch of sugar to bring out the sweetness of the tomatoes. I usually add a few chilli flakes for a background kick. Or add a dash of Worchestershire sauce & back pepper before serving."

"I love this recipe! Friends are always really impressed when I make it for lunch. I never add the coriander butter however. it doesn't add anything, & keeps the fat content down."

"This cake is absolutely gorgeous, a bit different, & so easy. family & friends have raved about it. i'm making it for the 4th time today, to pop in the freezer for Xmas! It is improved with the addition of orange segments & ginger syrup."

"This is a lovely dish. Easy & tasty.I added cumin seeds & a small cinnamon stick when frying the onions, & a tin of butter beans towards the end of cooking to add to the nutritional value."
