    Braised oxtail with basil dumplings

    "Had this for dinner tonight and it was divine! I made it in my slow cooker and as I was eating it, I was actually sad that this was the first time in all my 28 years that I have eaten oxtail. What have I been doing all my life? Part of me wanted to dash out and buy more oxtail straight away. I just wondered, can I use the leftover stock in the same way you would use beef stock? Oh and can the fat be used to cook roast potatoes etc in? I urge you to cook this dish, especially if you have never had oxtail before. The best meal I have had in a very long time! Thank you Barney!"

    "This is absolutely delicious, I did leave out the bacon in this recipe and I don't think it was lacking in flavour. I reduced the recipe slightly to make enough to serve four people and I added a leek as I had less onions than the recipe needed. Browned off the meat and cooked all of this in the slow-cooker on low with about 450ml of liquid to serve 4 people to 500g lamb. It was delicious and made the house smell wonderful when I got home from work! Well done Barney!"

    "I found this recipe very bland! I added ground coriander, paprika, a sliced onion, garlic some balsamic vinegar and some tomato puree and I still didn't find this spicy in the slightest. I had to spoon over some Discovery Chipotle chilli sauce in the end. I don't think I will be making this again!"
