"This was my birthday cake this year (although with milk chocolate rather than dark) made by my boyfriend and two male housemates who have never really made cakes before. Although much humour occurred when it was placed on a cooling rack and was so moist that it sank right through the rack, when put back together it was one of the tastiest but richest cakes I've ever eaten. I'll defenitly be thinking of making it for another occasion."

"I made this recipe as one large tart rather than four small onesfor a birthday party buffet and was surprised at how quick and easy it was. I made it earlier in the day and kept it in the fridge. No one commented on whether it was good or not but I personally thought it was really nice and I'm not usually a fan of dark chocolate. (I'm not sure that people completely registered it had been hand made when none of the other stuff was)."

"Made this for a big family meal around christmas and despite being technically for more people than were there it disappeared pretty swiftly with pretty much everyone having seconds, even people who don't normally. I even sent my grandparents home with the recipe so I'd say that was a certain hit with everyone. Shame it requires too many ingredients to be making it regularly but I'll be saving it up for another special occasion."
