Ingredients

  • - 500 ml milk
  • - 100 g sugar
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 50 g nuts
  • - 100 g white bread
  • For the caramel:
  • - 100 g sugar
  • - 30 ml water
  • - 1 tbsp lemon juice

Method

  • STEP 1
    For the caramel: melt the sugar, water and lemon juice on a low heat, when it starts to boil turn up the heat and leave it until it turns golden brown. Pour the caramel in the tray you will bake your pudding (I used a muffin tray) and coat the edges of the tray with the caramel sauce.
  • STEP 2
    For the pudding: Boil the milk and pour it hot on top of the bread cut into squares. Then add the sugar with vanilla extract and set aside to cool. When the milk has cooled down mix the pudding together with the chopped nuts and pour it into the tray coated with the caramel.
  • STEP 3
    Place the tray in a bigger oven dish half filled with hot water then bake in the oven at 180C for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
  • STEP 4
    Leave the pudding to cool down then take it out of the tray. Eat hot or cold it's delicious ether way. ENJOY!!!
