Method

  1. Line base and sides of a deep, 22-23cm loose-bottomed round tin with baking parchment. Mix the biscuits, melted butter and 2 tbsp of the sugar, then press into base. Chill while you make the filling.
  2. Divide cream cheese and cream evenly between 2 bowls. Add the white chocolate to one, and the milk chocolate, malt and remaining 3 tbsp sugar to the other. Beat each with an electric whisk until smooth.
  3. Spread the milk chocolate mixture evenly in the tin. Wipe round the edge to give a smooth edge. Spoon the white chocolate mix over the top and gently smooth. Decorate with Maltesers and chill for at least 5 hrs until firm.

If you like very rich cheesecakes then this is the business - but for me, just a bit too heavy. I think if I did it again I would cut very thin slices and add something on the plate to freshen it up. Perhaps a swirl of chocolate sauce, some raspberries and thin slices of tropical fruit or sorbet etc.

I made this for christmas eve. It was very easy to make but far too rich. also, i couldn't find white chocolate maltesers anywhere which was annoying, so i used milky bar white moments. Would have to change the recipe a little so that it's not so rich if i made it again!

Quite nice. This cake has 8000 calories?!?! Uh oh... there weren't 10 of us to eat it, so some people might have got more than the 800 calories for one serving... With hindsight, I might have made a slightly less indulgent cake, lovely as this was.

Made this for dessert for dinner party and was well impressed. Is extremely heavy though. Cut into VERY small pieces and let people have seconds if they want, but I guarantee they won't be able to. Absolutely gorgeous though. Very easy and looks and tastes impressive.

This tasted great but the cheesecake didn't set for me. I used Philidelphia and left it in the fridge overnight but it was quite sloppy rather than the nice neat looking cheescake in the picture. Any suggestions to rectify the above would be great.

I have to say I am not generally a fan of an unbaked cheesecake. However I was looking for a gaurenteed winner that wasn't going to be too much effort, so on reading the reviews I gave this a go. It did not disappoint. Taking the advice that it was very sweet, I made this without the sugar. As well, I didn't have any malt so that was omitted too. It was still gorgeous. All raved about it and it was ridiculously easy. A winner for a make ahead dinner party.

Quite easily the best cheesecake I've ever had! Everyone who has tasted it agrees too. Very easy to make but a little expensive so one for the special occasions. Definately for Christmas dinner!

I made this for a Boxing Day family party but modified it slightly. Instead of using cream I used more cheese and instead of adding sugar just added more chocolate. This helps it set quicker and is less 'rich' AKA sickly. I also baked the base for about 10 minutes to keep it crumbly and light. Always goes down a storm and I'm lucky if I get a piece before everyone's eaten it.
