My Concise Oxford Dictionary does not have cornichon in it. If a name/something is unusual it would save people a lot of time if you briefly explained it.I will have to log out and check on the internet for cornichons(maybe I will end up on another food page and they will get me to subscribe to them-it could be costing Good Food "doe"

It's me again found out the meaning of cornichon which I now know is French and actually has 2 meanings 1=pickle; 2=fool/nitwit, so I guess I will follow the recipe without having to add cornichon as I will be eating it and I fit the bill of "cornichon". I was in a pickle until I found out what cornichon meant Merry Christmas

This looks like it could be a 'serving suggestion' from the pack of ready-made blini you specify. NB 'Blini' is already a plural (the singular is blin), so 'blinis' is a nonsensical tautology.

Fiddly, but enjoyed making them. They were delicious, and my guests enjoyed them. I used a good qaulity pre-packed sliced beef, like Sainsburys Taste the Difference.

Simple and went down a treat. I think that this would also work well with horseradish instead of mustard. I will try this next time.
