  3. Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Melt the butter in a small pan, add the chilli, garlic and the rest of the rosemary and sizzle for a couple of minutes. Drain the potatoes, then mash with the flavoured butter.
  4. Divide the lamb mixture between 4 ovenproof dishes. Top with the mash. Cook for 20-30 minutes until the pies are bubbling.

i made this last night, i loved the chilli butter mashed potato. The mince could have done with a little bit more flavour, but everyone loved it, so it couldn't have been that bad!!

I made this for the hubby on the weekend but didn't have any lamb mince and used beef instead. It was gorgeous. I added a bit more chilli as we love it. I'll definitley cook this again.

The mash is delicious, I put a parsnip in it too. I agree with Rhi, the mince could do with more flavour but the luckily the mash makes up for it.

This was very nice. I just made it as one large pie, rather than as four individual pies.

I substitued the lamb for veggie mince and added a good glug each of tomato ketchup and Worcester sauce and it was delicious. The topping was also gorgeous. Definitely on the "make again" list.

Fairly quick and easy to make, and most of all very tasty. Particularly liked the slight kick in the sweet potato topping.

Didn't like this at all. Not a big fan of sweet potatoes though. The filling was lovely but the mash was disgusting.

Family thought this was ok but nothing spectacular. They also commented that they preferred white potatoes as a topping.

looks like a great recipe. I'm in the process of cooking it right now. I have added some turkish 'Pulbiber' (coarsely ground chillies). Make sure you have the orange sweet potatoes. The ones with the white meat are much harder to use. I'm sure it is going to be delicious. I'll let you folks know.

bit disappointed, I would have expected a more challenging taste. But not bad at alll!!!! If you have a more developed palate, you would be asking for something extra..............

I made this the other day. Made 1 big pie rather than 4 pies which was fine apart from a felt it could have done with more mash. Loved the flavour of the mash. After reading other comments on here re the flavour of the mince I added a carton of chopped toms with chili at the same time as adding the onions etc and that seemed to work well. Did have to simmer for longer than 20 minutes though as found the mixture a bit to liquid but apart from that easy to make and tasted delicious. Will def be making again.
