Pasta

Tubular pasta works best in bakes; as well as rigatoni you could use penne or macaroni.

very nice. i made this last week for lunch. when i put the grated cheese on, i mixed some crushed up tortilla chips with the cheese then baked it. it just added that bit crunch. very nice, going to make it for dinner next week for my mum and i.

This sounds a good midweek meal. Ive taken some of the other comments into consideration, such as adding garlic and bacon. I also will probably add some sliced tomatos to the top before putting in the oven. The great thing with a meal like this is that it can be played about with and changed about to suit your taste or what you have in the cupboard. Served with some garlic ciabatta bread, lovely.

One person in our family has high cholesterol and can't eat cheese, so I make the sauce using creme fraiche and a splash of white wine with a good dash of pepper. Have included whatever else in fridge..peppers, bacon, onion, etc and it's OK. When I bak e it - i only put cheese topping on half!

Good basic recipe, I substituted spring onion for parsley to give it a bit more zing. Certainly enough for 6-8 with a side salad.

I made this yesterday and was impressed. I didn't have Rigatoni so used Penne. I halved all of the ingredients to make enough for 3 and there was still plenty left for tomorrows lunch :) Will definetly make this regularly.

This is a good and tasty home comforts meal. Its very easy to prepare and very filling. I do not add sweetcorn but add a tin of chopped tomatoes to it instead which goes very well.

Ive tried alot of tuna pasta bake recipes and none of them are that good, this one is by far the best recipe!! lovely and creamy, cheesy and perfect comfort food. I changed the recipe slightly, i only use 400g of pasta and rather than 2 tins of tuna i only add 1 and use 4 chopped cooked sausages. I also had some hot pepper sauce into the sauce before all the ingredients go in. YUMMY!!!

To make this dish even more healthy, try using Dreamfields pasta. I can get this in my local health food shop. It makes the dish a lot lower in carbs. Just look up Dreamfields on Internet.

I like this recipe for numerous reasons... It's dirt-cheap and easy to make and it's a great store cupboard dinner... It might be little bland, so I usually add finely chopped onion or spring onions, bunch of chopped parsley and basil and little bit of chopped chilli pepper to spice things up...

I'm recovering from Radiotherapy for throat Cancer so this is absolutely perfect as a way back to solid food. To ring the changes, I add blanched Broccoli florest or some chopped fresh pepper. Basically Mac and cheese with added Tuna :)
